Meet Jebbeh!

Jebbeh is twenty-two years old and lives with her family in a remote village near Bonthe, located 187 miles southeast of Freetown. After becoming pregnant, she spent a painful four days in labor before she was brought to Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) for an emergency caesarean section. She gave birth to her stillborn baby, and this painful process resulted in a complicated obstetric fistula. Doctors Without Borders brought her to the West Africa Fistula Foundation, where her fistula is being repaired. Thanks to our donors and supporters, Jebbeh is receiving the care she needs to heal and become healthy again!
